The Compota creation Residence at the Meridional Theater brings together professional artists with students of the Degree in Dance of the Superior School of Dance (IPL), who’ll work one of the most important Portuguese intellectuals of the twentieth century, the philosopher, poet and essayist Agostinho da Silva (1906-1994).

Creatives International Reunion / COMPOTA & CHOREOLAB EUROPE
at the POLO DAS GAIVOTAS / Lisbon, Portugal

From the 4th to the 7th of May 2017, sentidosilimitados (cultural association) will promote a meeting of national and international creators, to share individual methods, motivations and experiences under the theme “Collaborative platforms for contemporary creation”.  At Polo das Gaivotas, in artistic residency, will be Sanne Clifford, Anja Gallagher and Danielle Dugas (choreographers), Jordi Ribot Thunnissen (playwright) from the Choreolab Europe platform, António de Sousa Dias (composer), Ângelo Cid Neto (choreographer) and Paula Pinto from the Compota project .

Entries are open to twelve participants: dancers, actors, performers, choreographers (either professionals or students), interested in broadening their experience and work with these creators in a peer-to-peer environment through a 4 day laboratory.

10th COMPOTA CREATIVE RESIDENCY | Cineteatro João Mota, Sesimbra: Oficina de Dança (for the public in general) + Open Rehearsal Schools

Sesimbra, Portugal | 24 to 28 April 2017

In March 26 (from 2p.m. to 5p.m.) will be an audition for dancers, actors, musicians and video creators to be included in the Compota artistic residence that will be held in the week of April 24 to 29, 2017. Anyone interested in joining in should access the registration form at https://goo.gl/forms/SO0tYvdZxoXfMS703 or register personally at the Cineteatro João Mota until March 22. Candidates should prepare themselves to present a solo / text / musical example or another (according to the artistic area to which it is applied), up to a maximum of 3 minutes in duration on March 26. It’s expected the integration of local artists / interpreters with experience in improvisation.
